Justice, Equity, Diversity, Inclusivity
The Public Authority of Marin pledges to instill in our values Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion for all. We strive to build a community that is dedicated to serving our recipients and providers with these important concepts in mind.
Equity is about ensuring that everyone has equal access to opportunities, regardless of their background, race, gender, or any other personal characteristic. This means acknowledging and addressing the systemic barriers and discrimination that prevent certain groups from reaching their full potential.
Justice is about ensuring that laws and systems are fair and impartial, and that they are applied equally to everyone. This requires a commitment to due process and the protection of individual rights and freedoms.
Diversity and inclusivity are about recognizing and valuing the unique perspectives and experiences of each individual. It is about creating an environment where everyone feels comfortable to be themselves and where their contributions are valued.
As a society, we have made progress in these areas, but there is still much work to be done. We must continue to educate ourselves and others about these values and to actively work to dismantle systems of oppression and discrimination. We must also actively strive to create inclusive environments where everyone feels valued and respected.
Let us work together to create a world that is equitable, just, diverse, and inclusive. Only then can we truly call ourselves a civilized and progressive society.
Public Authority of Marin will not tolerate Hate, Bigotry, Racism, Sexism, Anti-Semitism, Ableism, Misogyny, Ageism, Homophobia, Religious Intolerance, and Xenophobia. It not only causes harm to individuals, but it also undermines the principles of equity, justice, diversity, and inclusivity that we hold dear. We must actively work to create an environment where everyone feels valued and respected, regardless of their race or ethnicity. This requires a commitment to education, open dialogue, and a willingness to listen and learn from one another. Let us make a collective effort to eradicate racism and build a more inclusive and just society.
